Summary
Pipe Fitter – Long-Term Contract (Birkenhead)
We’re looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter to join a well-established and busy site in Birkenhead. This is a long-term opportunity, ideal for a time-served tradesperson skilled in fabricating spools from isometric drawings and confident with TIG tacking.
The Role
Fabricating pipe spools from isometric drawings
Tacking using TIG welding
Working within a supportive and established team environment
Pay Rates (PAYE via Ambitek)
Basic (Mon–Fri, first 8 hrs): £20.86 per hour
Overtime 1: £30 per hour
Overtime 2: £40 per hour
⏰ Hours of Work
Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 14:30
Benefits
Holiday Pay: Accrued at 14.5% (33 days annually, incl. bank holidays)
PAYE Only: No CIS, umbrella, or agency deductions
Parity Pay: Same trade rate as permanent site staff
Pension: NEST scheme after 12 weeks (3% employer, 5% employee minimum)
Weekly Pay: Every Friday, funds typically clear the same day
Easy Holiday Management: No timesheets required—clock-in/out processed automatically
