Summary
The CUOTC runs its own accounts; both public (MOD) and Non-Public funds for which the Financial Systems Administrator (FSA) is responsible. In addition, the FSA will also manage the pay of the OCdts and reserve staff and be the subject matter expert for finance related queries. You will act as the Public Fund Account Holder, processing the transactions relating to the account using MOD specific software which training will be given.
Main Role Responsibilities:
Account holder for the Service Charitable Funds (Non-Public Fund), processing the transactions for this account using MOD specific software
Managing the bank accounts for both funds
Maintaining the account using the MOD financial software
Support the Budget Manager with the management of the unit Budget
Administer Pay and allowances for the Reserve staff and the OCdts
Manage the Personnel pay administration software
Ensure Unit compliance with the MOD Financial regulations
Provide advice and management information the Fund Managers
Complete monthly and End of Year Close down on both accounts
Approve for the local purchasing of products
You will be required to attend the Financial Systems Administrator course which is 2 x residential courses at DCLPA, Worthy Down in Winchester. The first module A is 2.5 weeks and the second module B is 2 weeks. These should be completed within 6 months of taking up the post. They can be done consecutively or separately. You will be accommodated in the mess at Worthy Down and all expenses will be paid in line with Travel and Expense Policy.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
