• Cat-only practice – work exclusively with feline patients in a dedicated, well-equipped clinic
• Surgical development – opportunity to grow surgical skills alongside advanced facilities, including 3D x-ray and Doppler ultrasound
• Supportive expert team – collaborate with a Branch Partner holding a PhD in Cardiology and a Certificate in Feline Internal Medicine

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join a friendly and highly skilled team at a cat-only clinic in Cardiff.

This unique practice is set within a charming building and led by a supportive Branch Partner who holds both a PhD in Cardiology and a Certificate in Feline Internal Medicine. The close-knit team includes a fellow Veterinary Surgeon, HRVN, RVN, and two experienced Receptionists, all working together to provide the highest standards of care to a loyal client base who truly value the service they receive.

The role offers exposure to the full spectrum of general practice duties – from consulting and case workups to diagnostics and routine procedures. While confidence in everyday small animal surgery is essential, what matters most is enthusiasm to develop surgical skills further alongside a solid foundation in first opinion practice.

The clinic is exceptionally well equipped, boasting:

• Digital x-ray and Adaptix 3D x-ray for orthopaedics and dental imaging
• Ultrasound with pulsed wave and colour Doppler
• Multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring
• Cryotherapy and radioactive iodine unit
• In-house IDEXX lab suite (Procyte Dx, Catalyst One, Sedivue)
• Oxygen unit, incubator, and Burtons VETair2 Dental Unit

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays, offering the opportunity to develop within a supportive and progressive environment.
