About the Role
Minerva Recruitment are seeking an experienced Head Chef on behalf of our client, a respected care provider in Knutsford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated chef to lead a kitchen team within a nursing home setting. You will be responsible for creating nutritious and well-balanced menus, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs.
• Lead, train, and supervise the kitchen team.
• Oversee menu planning, stock control, and ordering.
• Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen.
• Work closely with the management team to support resident wellbeing.

Skills & Attributes
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role (care sector experience desirable).
• NVQ Level 3 in Catering or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and food safety.
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and motivate a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
