Summary
Maintenance Manager
Estates Department
Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week, 1 FTE)
Salary scale: £29,686 - £35,781 per annum
We are: currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to work within our busy Estates Department.
You will: be responsible for overseeing the Conservatoire’s facilities maintenance, ensuring all areas, including staff, student, public, and back of stage spaces are maintained to a high standard and provide a safe, welcoming environment for work, learning, and visitors. Leading a team of Maintenance Assistants, you will take a hands-on, proactive approach to day to day operations, repairs, and upgrades. You will ensure the effective use of resources across both buildings, supporting the team in delivering maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, joinery, painting and decorating etc. Working across the Conservatoire, you will help deliver a smooth and safe student experience, responding to maintenance needs as they arise and ensuring planned works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
You must have: Previous managerial and practical experience in a maintenance or facilities setting, ability to monitor staff, good record keeping skills and be able to perform multi trade skills in joinery, plumbing, electrical work, and decoration. You will possess a strong understanding of building systems and how they operate, with the ability to apply this knowledge across multiple disciplines.
Due to the nature of the Conservatoire opening times some weekend, evening and nightshift work may be required.
