TeacherActive is currently recruiting Nursery Practitioners to work on an ad-hoc basis in nurseries across Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who want flexibility while gaining valuable experience within the Early Years sector.

About You

• Qualifications welcomed but not essential – whether you hold a Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner, Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator), or a Level 3 Technical Certificate in Early Years Education, we want to hear from you.

  
  

• Unqualified but enthusiastic? No problem – we also welcome applicants with a passion for childcare and a willingness to learn.

  
  

• Previous nursery or childcare experience is desirable, but not required.

  
  Key Responsibilities of a Nursery Practitioner

  • Supporting the care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5.

    
    

  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.

    
    

  • Assisting with daily routines, including meal times, play, and learning activities.

    
    

  • Working closely with colleagues to maintain a positive and professional team culture.

    
    

  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and carers.

    
    

  • Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety policies are always followed.
