-To provide exceptional Security Operations across M&S Distribution Centres, ensuring excellent customer service aligned with Mitie and M&S values.

-Responsible for managing security delivery across a designated portfolio of M&S Distribution Centres in the North, ensuring all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained Security Officers and Supervisors, to the complete satisfaction of our Customer.



-Retention and development of colleagues is key, with a focus on total quality management as a primary objective.

Main Duties
-Lead and manage Security Officers, Supervisors and Site Managers across the Distribution Centres to ensure operational delivery is maintained to the highest standards, including professional appearance, conduct, and accurate incident reporting via Merlin and site systems.

-Manage expenditure within agreed budgets without compromising service delivery.

-Monitor labour turnover, absenteeism, and performance standards; recruit and develop colleagues to ensure retention is consistently above 75%.

-Ensure all staff comply with Health & Safety requirements and site-specific processes.

-Fulfil Duty Management responsibilities on a rostered basis in line with agreed DC procedures.

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date Assignment Instructions for each site.

-Attend each Distribution Centre monthly, holding structured review meetings with client representatives and producing minutes using the SMP template as the agenda basis.

-Complete daily reconciliations to ensure accuracy of billing and pay.

-Maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers, ensuring service quality remains at the forefront of all operations.

-Excellent communicator - both verbal and written.

-Must hold a valid frontline SIA licence.

-Must hold a full UK driving licence and willing to travel.

-Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work, equipment, or processes that may risk service delivery, health & safety, or the environment.

-Use all work equipment and PPE properly, in accordance with training received.
