Your Role as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

In this role, you’ll support children with diverse learning needs by:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom


  • Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to adapt lessons and resources


  • Building strong, positive relationships to boost children’s confidence and emotional wellbeing


  • Monitoring progress and helping to plan and deliver targeted interventions


  • Encouraging independence and a love for learning


    Who We’re Looking For

    This opportunity would be ideal for someone who:

    • Has a 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, English, Maths, or a related subject


    • Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs


    • Brings a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to their work


    • Communicates clearly and works well in a team


    • May have experience working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or volunteering)
