Armadale Primary School is a non-denominational school which serves the community of Armadale, West Lothian. The school has 12 Primary classes and an ELC setting which is open 50 weeks per year.
The school is management team consists of the Head Teacher with a leadership team consisting of one Acting DHT, a Principal Teacher and an Acting Principal Teacher. We also have a staff team consisting of support for learning staff, a full teaching team as well as a supportive pupil support team, an ELC team and admin and clerical staff. The school runs a very successful Breakfast Club which is well attended by the children. We have a fully supportive Parent Council which is very active in school, especially in the areas of fundraising and general parental communication and liaison.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable pupil support worker to join our support team to support learning and teaching. The Pupil Support Worker will report directly to the Senior Leadership Team. They will provide a safe, secure and inclusive school environment that builds the confidence of young people to enhance their ability to learn.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
