A rare and exciting opportunity is available for an exceptional Nurse and Educator to join the Northumbria Health & Care Academy team as Module Lead for the brand new Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship Programme.
The post-holder will be an experienced educator with a strong clinical background, either working towards or holder of a post-graduate certificate in education.
The post-holder will contextualise and develop teaching and learning resources relating to a University of Sunderland RNDA Module for delivery at the Academy, supported by the University of Sunderland RNDA Programme Lead and Academy Programme Lead.
They will act as a personal tutor to a number of students, supporting the pastoral and academic development of up to 50 students on programme.
The post-holder will deliver a contextualised version of the existing Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship currently delivered via the University. They will work alongside University and Academy colleagues to develop teaching resources which align with both the Module Descriptors in place at the University and the standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council for nursing education. They will develop high-quality learning and teaching related to evidence-based nursing and research theory.
The post-holder will liase regularly with the wider student support network , including people services, occupational health, apprenticeship services, practice education and clinical educators, practice assessors and supervisors Trustwide.
The post-holder will support the recruitment of students onto the programme, supporting the Programme lead to monitor progression, student experience and outcomes on the programme, whilst actively engaging in quality improvement and evaluation of the apprenticeship.
The post-holder will be a registered nurse who will work clinically on a regular basis.
