Applications are invited for the 0.2 FTE post of Head of Disability & Neurodiversity (job share) working within the Directorate of Student Life at Royal Holloway University of London. The role is available immediately and will be a job share with the current Head of Disability & Neurodiversity (0.8 FTE).

This role provides an exciting opportunity to jointly lead a dedicated team of Disability Advisers and play an important role in the delivery of Royal Holloway’s offering for disabled students. The Directorate of Student Life includes a broad range of student facing teams who are core to the student journey: Active Lifestyle & Sport, Chaplaincy, Counselling & Mental Health, Disability & Neurodiversity, Hall Life, International & Money Advice, Student Engagement & Insights and Wellbeing Support & Community.

Reporting to the Director of Student Life and working closely in a job share with the current role holder, they will contribute to the work of the Directorate and support the strategy and aims of the University and Student Journey Division. Role holders will be expected to demonstrate our University values - being Daring, Innovative, Open and Respectful – in their work and be a champion of equality, diversity and inclusion.

They will be required to will be expected to take responsibility for the co-delivery of implementation plans and targets set with the Directorate annual plan relating to the areas of disability and neurodiversity support, be an institutional advocate for the student experience and provide capable and supportive leadership to the team.

We are also seeking a candidate who has good experience of delivering support services to young adults, and someone who will contribute to continuous improvement by listening and responding to student voice and insight and make data-driven decisions on services where required.

With roles in Student Life there is a need for some campus-based working to enable in-person student appointments (based on student preference and need) – and as this role is one day per week. There will be opportunity for occasional remote working when operations allow.
