Job Description
We are looking for a qualified MOT Tester/Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional, welcoming garage with a steady flow of work.
You’ll primarily be carrying out MOT tests (around 8 per day) with some light servicing and repair work as required. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA standards.
Perform general servicing and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicles.
Provide efficient, friendly, and effective customer service.
Maintain workshop safety and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician.
Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills.
Flexible, positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
Good communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
High attention to detail, with good literacy and numeracy.
NVQ Level 3 qualification (preferred but not essential).
Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 2 years, maximum 6 points, no DD/DR convictions).
Working Hours
Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:30
No weekend work required
