Summary


Diabetes Maternity Support Worker

As we continue to expand and develop our maternity services, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Maternity Support Worker to join our diabetes in pregnancy team.

We are looking for a confident and compassionate maternity support worker to work alongside our Diabetes Midwives and within our multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and individualised care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods - making a real difference to families and outcomes.

The Diabetes Maternity Support Worker will facilitate and support the delivery of safe, compassionate, person-centred care to individuals with diabetes in pregnancy.

Working alongside the multidisciplinary diabetes team, the post holder will provide

education, monitoring, and lifestyle advice to patients, ensuring effective diabetes management. They will also contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes through support, guidance, and administrative duties.



In this role you will be expected to plan and prioritise your workload, implement evidence-based care, use relevant guidance, protocols, and policies (local and national), and work within the team to contribute to care planning and review.
