Summary
Neway is currently looking for a Housing Coordinator to join our client based with Enfield Council.
This role is starting on the 13th of October, working 35 hours a week, initially for a 3 month contract that is likely to be extended.
About the Role: Enfield Council is seeking a dedicated Housing Coordinator to join the Single Homeless Service team. This vital role involves conducting thorough homelessness assessments under relevant legislation and supporting vulnerable individuals into appropriate housing pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality housing advice and support to single homeless customers
Complete assessments in line with Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Act 2002
Work empathetically with individuals facing complex challenges, including mental health issues, hospital discharge, or prison release
Empower clients to explore rehousing options and navigate support services
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven commitment to excellent customer service
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with homeless and vulnerable populations
Sound knowledge of housing legislation and homelessness services
Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals facing multiple barriers
