We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to support our managers and teams with expert guidance across a wide range of HR matters, from employee relations to policy implementation and people-focused projects.

About the Role:

As our HR Advisor, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the delivery of Arborvitae Care’s HR strategy. You’ll partner with managers across the organisation to provide timely, customer-focused advice, helping to navigate complex employee issues while supporting positive people management practices.
This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same, perfect for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, influencing change, and driving HR best practice in a values-led environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality, solution-focused HR advice to managers on complex and sensitive employee relations issues.
• Coach and support line managers in applying HR policies and best practices with confidence.
• Support disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and other employee casework, including investigations and hearings.
• Deliver training and upskilling to managers, empowering them to manage their teams effectively.
• Build strong working relationships across the business to understand team needs and provide tailored HR support.
• Collaborate with the wider HR team to roll out initiatives, drive change, and embed organisational values.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support the monitoring of HR trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and ensure ongoing legal compliance.
• Champion a proactive, consistent, and employee-focused HR service at all times.

Person Specification:
Essential Skills & Experience:

• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Officer in a busy, generalist HR environment.
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
• Proven ability to resolve employee relations issues confidently and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a tactful, professional approach.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
• Confident working with stakeholders at all levels and handling confidential information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to personal and professional development.
