Summary

Grounds Operative needed in Yate, Bristol, £14ph PAYE - Reference: 371429

Responsible for all aspects of grounds maintenance including hedge cutting, grass cutting, shrub bed maintenance. Collection of any litter, fly tips, emptying of bins etc on public open space.

Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.00pm

  • Operating specialist equipment such as strimmer’s, hedge cutters, hand blowers, pole saw and other power tools for certain tasks on a daily basis, to a high standard ensuring that safety procedures are followed and reporting faults and breakdowns as part of routine checks of equipment.
  • Checking work is completed to the required standards, you will provide support, advice, and allocate daily tasks to a small group of staff ensuring they have clear instructions.
  • Working within the approved risk assessment framework, you will ensure the safety of yourself and colleagues reporting any issues of concern.
  • Communicate with customers and give good, accurate advice and information and make sure that documents and records are accurate, up to date and accessible.

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
