Summary

Act as a visible clinical leader and role model for nursing and support staff.Ensure safe and effective care delivery in line with national and trust standards.Lead on clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.Support complex decision-making and provide expert advice on gynaecological care.Oversee the day-to-day running of the outpatient department Manage staff rotas, leave, and sickness to ensure adequate coverage.Monitor and improve patient flow, appointment scheduling, and clinic efficiency.Handle complaints, incidents, and service issues promptly and professionally. Line manage nursing and support staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews.Identify training needs and support professional development.Promote a culture of learning, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.Mentor junior staff and students. Contribute to strategic planning and service redesign to improve patient experience.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement new pathways and clinics (e.g., oncology, urogynaecology, endometriosis).Use audit and feedback to drive service enhancements.Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and staff.Liaise with consultants, administrative teams, and other departments to ensure coordinated care. Ensure compliance with CQC standards, infection control, safeguarding, and trust policies.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Participate in risk assessments and health & safety audits.
