We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team here at Allied Universal, if you enjoy a varied workload in a fast-paced environment this Test Development Engineer role could be for you. Role outline detailed below:

Responsible for designing and commissioning test fixtures for new and existing Allied Universal Electronic Monitoring products.
Contributing to all aspects of test fixture development, installation, commissioning and fault finding of test fixtures used for production testing and field returned products.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Design and commission testing fixtures for printed circuit board assemblies and final products.
• Ability to understand electronic schematics and translate into test requirements.
• Ability to understand embedded firmware and develop test requirements.
• Hands-on approach to building manual and automated test fixtures.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment on testing strategies and priorities.
• Programming in C# for PC based test sequences
• Interfacing with SQL databases to record test results

Key Competencies
• Mechatronics
• Experience in building complex test automation fixtures.
• Sharing and cooperating.

Skills and Knowledge
Essential
• Mechatronics BEng or MEng or equivalent
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented.
• Ability to travel internationally.


Desirable
• Understanding embedded firmware written in C
• Electronic Design using Altium
• Mechanical design using SolidWorks
• Source control using Bitbucket
