The Oakleaf Group is firmly established as one of the leading providers of rehabilitation services for men who have a brain injury or who suffer from other neurological conditions.

Our main site is based in Hartwell, Northampton but we also have services based in Duston, Weston Favell, Hunsbury and Wellingborough. We are recruiting Therapy Assistant to support our clients in our Community services based in Weston Favell and Hunsbury. As part of your contract, you will be expected to work across any of the Oakleaf sites if required.

The Oakleaf Group are seeking to recruit a full-time Therapy Assistant.

Therapy Assistants work as an integral part of the Community Therapy Team. The role involves the planning, carrying out and evaluation of therapy programmes, running sessions and the allocation/organisation of staff to ensure the successful implementation of the day to day programme.

The successful candidates will liaise with the care support staff and the therapy team to highlight any possible therapy needs and ensure this information is relayed to the community manager.

The successful applicant may be asked to drive the company vehicles to support residents with their off-site activities therefore a full driving licence is desirable.

Requirements for the role:

  • Responsible for assisting in maintaining a safe environment in accordance with all Health and Safety, Infection Control, COSHH, and other government legislation.
  • Monitoring levels, ordering of resources and equipment related to the programme.
  • Ensuring the fabric and integrity of the building, fixtures and fittings is maintained to a high standard.
  • Ensure you are fully aware and operate within all policies and procedures, regularly updating knowledge of any changes.
  • Responsible for the security of all keys, alarms and communication equipment and that these are carried at the directed times
  • Responsible for carrying out personal and domestic activities of daily living on a daily basis.
  • Delivering individual and group treatment sessions.
