Summary
Smithdon High School are seeking an Exam Invigilator to join and complement the friendly, supportive and dedicated team within our School.
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Scale D, Point 6, £13.47/hour

Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will need to to protect the integrity of examinations, helping to ensure optimal exam conditions for all students. To uphold and safeguard the regulations and requirements of the relevant examining bodies.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
To support the Exams Officer with the day-to-day operation of examination venues. This duty may include:
· Assisting with setting-up examination venues prior to the exam by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with strict procedures
· Assisting candidates prior to the start of examinations by directing them to their seats and advising them about possessions permitted in examination venues
· Reading instructions to candidates at the start of exams
· Ensuring that candidates do not talk once inside examination venues
· Invigilating during examinations, dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with strict procedures
