About Us

At Beehive Care & Training Group Ltd, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality care—whether they live in a town, a remote village, or at the end of a winding country lane. We’re committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred support across rural Devon, ensuring no one is left without the care they need.

About the Role – More Than Care, It’s the Journey Too

As a Rural Community Carer, you’ll provide high-quality care in people’s homes while travelling through some of Devon’s most beautiful countryside. Driving is a key part of this role, and we’re looking for carers who are confident navigating country lanes:

In early mornings, evenings, and at night
In all weather conditions—from frosty lanes to summer storms
Across remote rural locations where your visit truly makes the difference
Our care calls typically run between 7am and 10pm, so flexibility across these times is essential. You’ll also be required to work alternate weekends as part of your contracted role.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who loves the open road and is passionate about supporting people in their local communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing person-centred care in customers’ homes—supporting with personal care, medication, meals, and mobility
Offering companionship and reassurance to customers and their families
Promoting independence, dignity, and well-being in every visit
Keeping accurate records of care delivered
Driving safely to and from appointments across rural routes, ensuring you arrive reliably and ready to support
Qualifications & Experience

Recognised Health & Social Care qualifications (e.g. NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or 3) are desirable, or a willingness to work towards them.
A caring, compassionate nature and commitment to professional standards
Confident driving experience on rural roads, country lanes, and in all weather
Flexibility to work shifts between 7am–10pm (including alternate weekends)
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, reliable attitude
Previous care experience is helpful, but full training and development will be provided
A valid driving licence and access to a reliable car
Why Join Beehive Care?

£26,000 contracted salary – stable and reliable income
Paid from the start of your shift to the end—not just per call
Mileage allowance for your travel
Paid induction and ongoing training
Opportunities to gain formal care qualifications and progress your career
Flexible working patterns within your contract
A friendly, supportive team who genuinely value you
The chance to make a real difference in the lives of rural customers
