Summary
The post holder will be responsible for the completion and submission of high quality and robust applications to the Court of Protection. They will have a responsibility to ensure that all documentation is accurate, legally compliant, and reflective of current case law and guidance relating to the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) under the guidance and support of the Complex Health Team Lead. Carry out comprehensive assessments of capacity in line with the principles of the MCA, clearly documenting findings, rationale for decisions and ensuring all assessments are supported by the relevant best interest decision and professional analysis under the guidance and support of the Complex Health Team Lead. There will be an expectation of the post holder to be highly motivated, flexible and multi-skilled with excellent organisational skills. The post holder will need to meet deadlines, collate data and maintain standards relating to Key Performance Indicators and Quality. The post holder will be expected to provide accurate communications within and outside the CHC service, dealing professionally and discreetly with patients, relatives, carers, legal representatives, health and social care professional colleagues and other organisations. The post holder will undertake reporting of information to support delivery of CoPDoLs.
