Are you an experienced Senior BusinessSupport or Administration professional looking for a newchallenge?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BusinessSupport Officer to join our Children’s Services BusinessSupport service, providing support with invoicing, budget monitoring, training and purchasing to our Schools and Community Psychology Service (SCPS) and the SEND and Inclusion services.

You will be responsible for managing a small team of 3 Business Support Officers who provide various admin support such as inbox monitoring, meeting support and data entry for the above-mentioned teams.You will also have full staff responsibility, including supervision, mentoring, task allocations and onboarding of new staff members.You will work collaboratively with other teams and demonstrate flexibility by supporting other services as required to provide cover.

About the Role

Collaboration:You will liaise with Service Leads and the services you support daily to ensure robust support is in place including capacity and service requests.

Document Management:Manage SharePoint folders and filing systems, ensuring accurate document uploads as well as provide data analysis for the supported services.

Inbox Management: Oversee several service inboxes and the handling of service inquiries promptly and effectively.

Referrals: Develop and manage systems to track SCPS work allocations.Oversee the processing referrals into the service, maintaining an efficient tracking database.

Financial Duties:You will be responsible for budget forecasting, tracking financial transactions and follow-up where required.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in staff management with the ability to work on their own initiative and provide cover to the Team Manager during their absence.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office (all elements) and an ability to provide some ITsupport and advice to new team members.
  • Anunderstanding of the importance ofGDPR, confidentiality andunderstanding of safeguarding Children and Young People.
  • Willingness to learn other team members areas of work to be able to cover other areas as deemed necessary by the line manager.
  • Strong communicator who can communicate effectively with senior council officers, health professionals, partner agencies and service usersindependently.
  • Ability to deal with competing demands through planning and prioritisation to meet deadlines.
