Summary
At UWE Bristol Sport, we’re passionate about helping our staff and students feel their best, in mind and body. Our Active Wellbeing offer is at the heart of this, and we’re looking for someone who can bring energy, expertise, and fresh ideas to make it even better.
As our Active Lifestyles Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering our Sport Experience strategy – inspiring and supporting the UWE Bristol community through engaging health, fitness, and wellbeing programmes, initiatives, and resources.
We’re looking for a motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with a background in health, fitness, or wellbeing to join our team. This is a maternity cover role (up to 12 months) and a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, bring your creativity to life, and support a healthier, happier community at UWE Bristol.
About you
You’ll bring a strong background in health and wellbeing promotion or development, with a genuine passion for helping others get active and enjoy the benefits that physical activity brings.
Highly organised and adaptable, you’ll be confident working with a wide range of people and able to communicate effectively across different audiences. With proven experience in a large, complex organisation, you’ll also have excellent IT skills and be comfortable using a variety of digital platforms and databases.
Experience within the Higher Education sector would be an advantage – but it’s not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm, expertise, and commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our community.
Where is this role based?
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.
