Oxford City Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their Customer Services Applications Team.
This is an entry-level opportunity, perfect for someone who:

The Role
As part of the Customer Services Applications Team, you will play a vital role in supporting Oxford City residents and service users by processing a wide range of customer applications.
The team manages services including:
HMO Licensing
Building Control
Planning
Housing
Land Charges
Taxi Licensing
Street Naming & Numbering
Right to Buy
Your work will be varied and rewarding, ensuring smooth and efficient application processes across these key areas.
Key Responsibilities
In this diverse and evolving role, you will:
Process customer applications using procedure notes and complex information systems
Handle customer contact—responding to a high volume of emails, answering phone calls, and taking payments
Interpret and review technical documents, such as drawings, plans, and maps, depending on the service area
Check and input customer documentation accurately into Council systems
Manage a personal caseload using Excel and other digital tools
Adapt to legislative changes quickly, ensuring the team stays compliant and up to date
Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring every interaction is helpful, professional, and efficient
