Hays Education is recruiting passionate and committed Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Birmingham. These roles are ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people aged 11-16 and want to make a real difference in their education journey.
As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant, you will:
-Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and resilience
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young people (ideally in a secondary school setting)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people's development
