The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Immingham Power Generation site. This permanent position involves supporting electrical systems, managing technical risks, and contributing to engineering projects across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support electrical systems at the Immingham Power Generation facility.
  • Manage technical risks for electrical assets including Plant Status Reviews, Obsolescence and Strategic Spares, Compliance with Engineering Standards and Technical Guidance, and engagement with external bodies.
  • Plan and implement electrical engineering projects.
  • Develop maintenance strategies and provide engineering support across the fleet.
  • Assist with maintenance activities to ensure plant operations.
  • Contribute to large capital project development.
  • Meet commercial, safety, environmental, quality, and personal development targets.
  • Support physical processes and projects to meet performance objectives.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; HNC/HND with relevant experience considered.
  • Experience in electrical engineering of large generating or process plants (CCGT desirable).
  • Understanding of engineering standards, legislation, and compliance.
  • NEBOSH / IOSH or similar health & safety qualification.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (Health & Safety, Environmental, Employment Law).
  • Problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
  • Expertise in specific areas such as system modelling, simulation studies, or electrical equipment.
  • Strong organisational skills and contract/budget management knowledge.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general IT skills.
