Avanti Fields School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team and contribute to the success of our all-through setting.
In this varied role, you will step into lessons across both the primary and secondary phases, ensuring learning continues smoothly and pupils remain engaged in line with our school’s vision and values.
Alongside classroom cover, you will also play an active part in wider school life, from supervising pupils at break and lunchtime to assisting with resources, exam invigilation and supporting small groups or individual learners.
No two days will be the same, and the role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across all age ranges.

What will you do?
Provide classroom cover across both primary and secondary phases, ensuring learning continues effectively when teachers are absent.
Support pupils’ learning and behaviour, encouraging progress in line with the school’s high expectations and policies.
Deliver set work, maintain order, register attendance, and ensure students have the correct resources and equipment.
Undertake additional administrative or supervisory tasks when not required in class, contributing to the smooth running of the school.
To implement school policies and procedures; for Climate for Learning, registration, health and safety etc

Educated to at least Level 2 (A*-C GCSE) – including in English and mathematics
Good knowledge and skills in the use of ICT/Technology
An ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
