Receptionist - Pathways Learning Centre37 hrs per week: 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 15:30 Friday.Permanent, Term time onlySalary: £25,583 - £25,989 (actual salary for term-time only £22,005 - £22,354About Us: Pathways Learning Centre (PLC) is a specialist alternative provision (AP) school. We provide placements for young people who live in South Gloucestershire but are unable to attend mainstream school for a short period, or who are waiting for long term specialist placements to be found for them. This is an incredibly rewarding place to work and we are looking for a receptionist who shares our passion for working tirelessly to improve the life chances for some of the most vulnerable young people across South Gloucestershire and Bristol. Role overview:As a receptionist, you'll play a key role in positively influencing the lives of our students and their families. In collaboration with the Office Manager, you will:Help create a warm and welcoming environment for students, families, staff, and visitors. Provide a comprehensive reception service including answering phones, making calls, emails and managing general enquiries efficiently, contributing to the smooth and effective functioning of the school. Provide high quality administrative support, including maintaining records, organising meetings, supporting with interview days and handling confidential information. What we’re looking for: Strong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and patient approachExperience in an administrative or receptionist role (experience in a school setting is an advantage but not essential)Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (experience with school-specific software such as Arbor is a plus)A friendly and professional manner, with the ability to work in a team and use initiative.Why Join Us?Meaningful role making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
