Summary
***HGV CLASS 1 SHUNTERS WANTED***
Here at The Best Connection we are looking for Class 1 drivers who are interested in shunting at the docks.
This role is ongoing with the potential to go full time with the client. This is for our client based in Southampton
Salary - £17.00 per hour PAYE / £21.00 per hour PAYE UMBRELLA
Location - Southampton Docks
Start Time - Between 17:00-18:00pm
The movement of containers is do with the use of Tuggs attached to class 1 trailers.
YOUR ROLE:
- Shunting containers at the docks from the client to the quay
- Vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Experience with driving containers is required
- Having dock experience is key
- 10 hour shift starting from 17:00pm-19:00pm
- Ongoing work
YOUR REQUIREMENTS:
- Container experience
- Good numeracy and literacy skills are required
- Good communication skills
- Happy to work nights
- Overtime on Weekends and Bank Holidays
