Summary

SEND Learning Support Assistant

Your New Job

You will be working as a SEND Learning Support Assistant supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties. This is a full-time, temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You'll be working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to deliver tailored interventions, facilitate inclusive learning, and help pupils achieve their individual goals. The role is to start ASAP.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally in a school or care setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Hays
