We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Sales Manager to join our successful client in their fast-paced sales team. This is a full-time, permanent role that combines proactive and reactive sales, with a focus on both account management and business development. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will play a key role in driving revenue across multiple streams. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
• Manage inbound enquiries, assess conversion potential, and prepare tailored proposals.
• Represent the business at networking events, exhibitions, and through a strong professional social media presence.
• Conduct competitor research and maintain up-to-date market awareness.
• Undertake off-site business development through client visits, calls, and new introductions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure renewals and repeat business.
• Manage contracts and ensure smooth handovers to operational teams.
• Use CRM and sales systems effectively to track performance, enquiries, and forecasts.
• Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and presentations.
• Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet client and business needs.
Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 2 years proven sales experience, ideally B2B.
• Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of profit as well as turnover.
• Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills.
• Highly motivated, energetic, and resilient with a positive, target-driven mindset.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative sales environment.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation ability.
• Confident with IT systems, including Word, Excel, email, and databases.
• Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for nationwide travel is a requirement for this role.
