We need 2 skilled Arborists to join our dedicated Tree Services team, managing trees across the city's Highways, Parks, Housing Land, and more. ✨
About the Role
- As an Arborist at Nottingham City Council, you will:
- Perform tree surgery, including crown lifting, dead wooding, crown reductions, and tree felling
- Operate and maintain arboricultural equipment and power tools safely
- Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments
- Engage with the public professionally and courteously
- Contribute to the Urban Forest Strategy and city-wide tree services
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in arboriculture
- Valid CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, and CS41 or equivalent qualifications
- Pre-1997 driving licence or Category C1+E driving licence
- Expertise in arboricultural equipment and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills, including in challenging situations
Desirable Qualifications
- NPTC or equivalent Lantra qualifications
- Experience with windblown trees and emergency treework
- Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) Licence and CPC trained
- New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) Qualification
