Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Band 6 OT rotation. Our rotation at Ipswich covers the following areas - Community rotations: St Elizabeth Hospice, Community Hospital (Blue Bird Lodge), Reactive Emergency Assessment Community Team (REACT), Early Supported Discharge Service (Stroke). Inpatient rotations: Stroke, Medical, Surgery /T&O, Older Peoples Services and Emergency Admissions Unit.
We are looking for talented individuals who are confident and professional with the clinical skills required to manage a diverse, complex caseload within dynamic environments, providing a high standard of occupational therapy service in designated acute inpatient and community settings as part of a six monthly rotational scheme.
We are a 7 day service and in some specialty areas the teams work an extended day.
Deliver a high standard OT service in designated clinical areas.
Manage a defined complex caseload under the management of the Team Leader, using evidence based, client centred principles to assess, plan and evaluate OT interventions, ensuring compliance with HCPC, RCOT, CQC and Trust clinical and quality standards.
To ensure as far as is reasonably practical the safety of the patients in your care.
To supervise and assist in the development of junior OTs, non-qualified staff and students on placement.
To undertake audit of both clinical practice and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
To be flexible in working in a 7 day service with extended hours in specific settings.
