Summary


We are seeking an experiencedBand 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurseto join the Emergency Department atWexham Park Hospital.

In this pivotal role, you will act as a skilled practitioner and inspirational team leader, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care for all patients within the department.

Alongside providing expert clinical leadership, you will play a key part in theday-to-day management of the Emergency Department,supporting the efficient and effective use of staff, equipment, and other resources. This is a unique opportunity to shape patient care, lead by example, and make a real difference in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Support the Emergency Department in achieving government targets and departmental objectives.

Assist with budgeting and resource management, including appropriate use of supplies and agency staff.

Participate in recruitment, selection, staff appraisals, and performance monitoring, supporting staff development.

Manage sickness and absence in line with Trust policy.

Attend meetings and communicate key information to staff.

Recognise and respond appropriately to violence or aggression, following Trust policies.

Respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations to ensure patient safety.

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.

Support complaint resolution and investigation processes.

Adhere to statutory regulations, codes of practice, local policies, and health and safety requirements.

Undertake any additional duties as requested to ensure smooth departmental operations.
