An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic IS Architect to join our Digital and Innovation team.

We are looking for a well-rounded IS Architect who will be responsible for the organisation's technical activities relating to the identification or development of solutions for specific architectural issues that meet business outcomes. Identifying the systems risks and constraints, translating into technical control requirements and specifications, and managing the outcomes to deliver the required objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and document all solution architecture design
• Understand business drivers and business capabilities and determine corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive the organisation's targeted business outcomes.
• Solution Design: canframe a problem and produce architectural representations that enable different teams to have a shared understanding of problems throughout the project or system life cycle.
• Strategic alignment and transformation enablement: Collaborate with business leaders, programme leaders and strategists to shape transformation roadmaps grounded in capability maturity and value delivery.
• Stakeholder Engagement on Governance: Build relationships with stakeholders across different business or technical areas in the organisation
• Continuing Professional Development: stay up to date on technology trends and approaches
Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
• 5+ years of direct experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture or strategic transformation roles.
• Strong background in creating business capability maps, value streams ad operating model blueprints.
• Experience working in complex, regulated environments with both business and technology transformation portfolios
• A broad understanding of architecture framework such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, etc
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating cross functional design and planning sessions
Desirable:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, software engineering, related discipline
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, SAFe for Architects etc.
• Previous experience of working as part of a UK Distribution Network Operator or similar regulated sector.
