Qualified Nursery Practitioner – Portsmouth
Pay: £14.70–£15.50 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Hours: Flexible shifts available (typical hours 8:00–17:00)
Are you a qualified and experienced Nursery Practitioner seeking flexibility in your career? We’re looking for dedicated practitioners to work across a range of nurseries in the Portsmouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills in a flexible agency role while making a real difference in children’s early years.
Your Role
Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children
Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities to support development
Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, nap times, and toileting
Work with colleagues to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Record children’s progress and share updates with families and staff
Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner and knowledge of childcare best practice
Strong understanding of child development and early years activities
Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work across different nurseries
Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable)
