Team Administrator | Barnes, SW London | Full Time | Up to £30,000 DOE
Our client is a busy building surveying, project management and property maintenance company with spacious offices in Barnes, situated next to Hammersmith Bridge. They are looking for an experienced Team Administrator who will support the larger business, but more specifically the building surveying team that carries out surveys, reports and specifications, party wall and licences for a large variety of buildings in the London area.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Minimum of 2 years’ team administration experience
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel essential)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to suggest more efficient ways of working
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Flexible and able to multitask
• Friendly, approachable, and has a good sense of humour
• Administration experience within building, construction, or property management is desirable
What will your role look like?
General Office Management
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the office
• Act as the main point of contact, handling incoming calls
• Maintain an up-to-date database of approved contractors and consultants
• Manage annual company insurance renewals
• Provide ad hoc diary management
• Oversee IT equipment maintenance and office supplies
• Organise staff events and manage external cleaning/utility providers
HR Administration
• Maintain staff holiday and sickness records
• Support onboarding of new starters
• Support for the Building Surveying Team
• Assist surveyors with organising meetings
• Provide administration for tender processes, contractor liaison and follow-ups
• Update daily works tracker
• Edit and format documents (reports, schedules, specifications, site minutes)
• Prepare and issue tender documentation
• Chase tender deadlines and compile tender analysis spreadsheets
• Input tender figures accurately
