Nursery Manager | Alsager, Stoke-on-Trent | Full Time – 40 hours per week | £38,000 – £41,500 + £5,000 Relocation Package
Our client operates a well-established nursery in Alsager, providing a welcoming and nurturing environment where children flourish through play, learning, and care. Following the departure of their previous manager (who left to pursue an exciting opportunity with a close friend), they’re looking for an inspiring leader to guide their dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to make a lasting impact in a well-established nursery, with the full support of their organisation.
Are you the right person for the job?
• At least 2–3 years’ experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy in an early years setting
• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding legislation
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail
• A hands-on leader with a “can-do” approach, able to motivate, coach, and develop your team
• Resilient and flexible – able to work effectively under pressure and adapt to change with ease
• A customer and children-first approach, with the empathy to guide and support colleagues
• Commercially focused, with experience managing budgets and driving business performance
• Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
What will your role look like?
• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted and all statutory requirements
• Monitoring and improving standards of teaching and learning
• Managing budgets, fees, and resources effectively
• Recruiting, training, and appraising staff performance
• Leading on safeguarding and child protection within the nursery
• Maintaining accurate records and reports for children, staff, and regulators
• Driving occupancy levels through effective parent engagement and marketing initiatives
