Do you want to work for an award-winning company? Active Prospects have been awarded with an Outstanding Best Companies rating in 2021 and ranked on the UKs Best Workplaces 2023 by Great places to work UK! Our training and development have won various awards over the years and in 2022 we won Trainer of the year at the Learning Disabilities and Autism awards.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Oliver McGowan Facilitator Trainers to join our award-winning team!

This is an important role where the post holder will deliver new learning disability and autism training, known as Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training, to people who work in health and social care.

You’ll be employed by Active Prospects, a leading charitable social care and training provider based in Surrey. Active Prospects is the lead organisation for the Care Talent Collective – a group of values-led social care providers, which is leading the rollout of Oliver McGowan training in Surrey and Sussex. We’ve built a thriving training programme from scratch in a little over a year, and we’re looking for new blood to take us to the next level.

Most of our training is delivered in Surrey and Sussex, with some courses occasionally delivered in other parts of the south-east. We aim to reduce travel and manage work-life balance by sharing courses across our team of trainers.

You’ll be part of a fun, supportive team of skilled trainers, and part of a wider organisation (Active Prospects) which was the 2024 Employer of the Year at the Learning Disability & Autism Awards, and is the #1 large Care Provider in the 2025 Great Places to Work list.

You will ideally have an in-depth understanding of learning disability and autism and are likely to have some experience of training delivery. You will have the skills and compassion to lead and support our co-trainers who are experts with lived experience in autism and learning disability.

Ideally you will already be a qualified Oliver McGowan Facilitator Trainer, but don’t worry if you’re not – we can provide the training to enable you to qualify, but please note that failure to complete the training will result in a withdrawal of the job offer.
