This is an exciting role for a dynamic and resourceful individualwhohas a genuine interestand experiencein patient safety andwhois willing to further develop in this specialist field.
It is asenior role tosupport our team with meeting the requirements of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)specially focusing onleading ahigh qualityprocess forour learning responses includingSwarmHuddles,AfterActionReviews, MDTRoundtables andThematicReviews.
The Learning Response Lead will work as part of a widermulti-disciplinaryteam across theorganisationto ensure thedeliveryofrobustpatient safety learning responses; to investigate,review andanalyse, using recognised tools encompassing principles of human factors and ergonomics, systems engineering, psychology, andrecognisedbest practice.
A high levelof sensitive engagement with patients, families, staff, and others affected by incidents is expected of this role.The post holder will work predominantly fromhome using virtual technology, although there is a requirement to be able to travel across the organisation boundaries,maintainregular face to face contact with colleagues and attend face to face meetings as required. Our current head quarters’ base is in Bracknell (London House).
• Thepost holderwilllead high-quality learning responses to patient safety incidents, driving meaningful improvements in care across our Trust.
• They will be responsible forcoordinatingandfacilitatingcomprehensive patient safety reviews(PSRs), applying human factors and systems thinkingalongsidecompassionateengagementwith patients, families, and staff, ensuring sensitive and effective learning processes.
• Collaboratingwith clinical, corporate, and executive stakeholders, they willembeda just culture and endorsepsychologicalsafety
• They will deliver trainingon ourkeylearningresponsemethodologiessupporting local teams to understandtheir application.
• Presentingfindings at key internal forumsandinfluencing change at every levelis pivotal to the role.
• The postholder will support and inspire a culture of continuous learning and improvement in physical health, mental health, and children’s service
The postholder will work 37.5hrs per week, ideally 7.5 hours a day (exclusive of breaks) over five days. This is currently a Monday to Friday job.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Relevant experience in patient safety and/or governance andleading patient safety learning responses
1. Leadership qualification or demonstrable equal level of understanding and experience
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, report writing experienceand strong analytical skills
1. Experience in presentation and teaching
