About the Role
This is a career-defining opportunity to lead high-impact campaigns and showcase our story to future students. As part of the Student Recruitment Directorate, you will design, deliver, and evaluate marketing strategies that inspire prospective learners and guide them on their journey to enrolment.
Your work will cover the full marketing mix—digital and traditional—ensuring our courses are promoted with clarity, authenticity, and creativity. From managing web and social media content to producing publications, planning events, and interpreting recruitment data, you will create campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences including school leavers, mature learners, postgraduate students, and employers.

You’ll also lead and support a small team, managing a Student Recruitment Officer and a Graduate Student Recruitment Officer. This is your chance to shape projects that directly contribute to the University’s growth while mentoring colleagues and sharing best practice.

What You’ll Do
• Develop and implement targeted marketing plans to meet recruitment objectives.
• Deliver bold, evidence-based campaigns that bring our portfolio to life.
• Create engaging, accessible content for digital platforms, publications, and social media.
• Lead on market research and competitor analysis to inform course development.
• Manage budgets effectively and track campaign performance using analytics tools.
• Play a key role in open days, applicant experience events, and outreach activity.
• Collaborate across the University to maximise visibility and enhance reputation.

This is a hands-on, varied role offering plenty of scope for innovation, strategic thinking, and collaboration. No two days will be the same.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
• Degree qualified (or with equivalent professional experience) in marketing or a related field.
• Experienced in developing, delivering, and measuring marketing campaigns.
• Confident with digital tools, including social media and website management.
• Skilled at interpreting and presenting insights to influence decisions.
• An excellent communicator with strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Proactive, creative, and ready to advise senior colleagues with confidence.

Experience in higher education recruitment is desirable, but we welcome applications from strong marketers in other sectors who are eager to make an impact in education.
