The role advertised is particularly focused on supporting pupils in difficult situations via our on-call system, however it also includes planning and leading interventions for pupils identified as needing additional behavioural support, as well as some administrative work in ensuring the centralised sanctions are managed correctly.

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the wider school community, staff and parents in supporting student progress and behaviour for learning across the school.

The successful candidate will need excellent interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with students, staff and parents on a day-to-day basis.

They must have a desire to support pupils to achieve their best both in an out of the classroom, with a ‘never give up’ attitude. They must also have a calming presence across the school, showing empathy in tough situations, responding with a kind but firm approach.

They will have to have excellent communication skills, a good sense of humour and sound administrative skills.
