Summary
Veterinary Nurse – Leicestershire (Small Animal Practice)

A well-established, RCVS and Cat Friendly accredited veterinary practice in Leicestershire is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team. The branches has recently undergone a full refurbishment, featuring state-of-the-art facilities including two theatres, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and separate cat and kennel wards.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join a supportive team of seven Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Student Veterinary Nurse, one Animal Care Assistant, alongside ten Vets and a large team of Receptionists. Responsibilities will cover all aspects of veterinary nursing, including:
• Theatre practice
• Ward nursing
• Nurse consults
• Laboratory work
• Schedule 3 procedures
Special interests are welcomed, and CPD is actively encouraged. Current team members are undertaking certificates in surgical nursing, diagnostic imaging, and emergency & critical care.
Working Hours & Salary:
• Up to £31,000 per annum, depending on experience
• 37 hours per week (based on a 4-day week)
• Saturday morning rota – 1 in 4 maximum (currently 1 in 7, dependent on nurse numbers)
