Ysgol hapus a llwyddiannus a sefydlwyd ym 1995 yw hon sy’n darparu addysg gyfrwng Cymraeg i ieuenctid ardal Merthyr Tudful a Chwm Cynon. Fe'i lleolir ar gyrion tref Aberdâr ar gampws gwych sydd wedi datblygu’n ddiweddar i gynnwys neuadd chwaraeon, cae 3G, bloc ystafelloedd addysgu newydd a darlithfa. Mae dros 1050 o ddisgyblion yn yr ysgol erbyn hyn sy’n cynnwys 6ed Dosbarth. Yn Arolwg Estyn diweddar yr ysgol (Mawrth 2025), nodwyd “Mae disgyblion Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Rhydywaun yn elwa’n fawr o brofiadau dysgu ysgogol mewn amgylchedd ofalgar lle mae perthnasoedd gwaith cynhaliol rhwng staff a disgyblion yn sail i ddysgu effeithiol. Mae arweinyddiaeth o ansawdd uchel yn graidd i lwyddiant yr ysgol. Mae’r pennaeth a’r uwch dîm arwain yn cynnig cyfeiriad clir a chefnogol, ac mae ganddynt weledigaeth bwrpasol sydd wedi’i gwreiddio’n gadarn yn lles a dyheadau disgyblion. The successful candidate is expected to be passionate about the role and ready to contribute to an ambitious school ethos and vision.
The School Caretaker reports directly to the Business Manager and, as a team, they are responsible for the efficient and high-quality running of the school site. As part of this team, the Caretaker will support and manage the creation of an excellent, highly organized work and learning environment that can be shared by the whole school community.
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate good thinking and problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise appropriately for this post.
This is a happy and successful school established in 1995 which provides Welsh-medium education to the youth of the Merthyr Tydfil and Cynon Valley area. It is located on the outskirts of Aberdare town on a fantastic campus which has recently developed to include a sports hall, a 3G pitch, a new teaching block and a lecture hall. There are now over 1050 pupils in the school which includes a 6th Form. In the school's recent Estyn Inspection (March 2025), it was noted "Pupils at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Rhydywaun benefit greatly from stimulating learning experiences in a caring environment where supportive working relationships between staff and pupils form the basis of effective learning. High quality leadership is at the heart of the school's success.
