Summary
You will be responsible for the management of the South West Essex At Risk of Mental State (ARMS) Team covering Thurrock/Basildon/Brentwood/ Wickford and lead in delivering a service to clients identified as having an At Risk Mental State (ARMS).
As a specialist mental health service, ARMS is based on NICE-recommended interventions which include comprehensive assessment and psychological interventions for psychosis or co-existing mental health problems (e.g. depression, anxiety, emerging personality disorder, substance misuse). These activities are often supported with family interventions, care coordination, social prescribing and education/employment support.
The successful applicant will lead a wider team of Psychological therapists, Recovery Coordinators, Support Workers and Employment/Education Advisor as part of the ARMS team. This is a newly commissioned service aiming to recruit supportive, highly skilled, established and professionals. The ARMS service will work closely with ESTEP (Essex Support and Treatment for Early Psychosis). As part of the wider preventative mental health strategy, the service will develop and maintain links with other community mental health teams and colleagues within In-Patient settings.
