Job description
The Governors of Ogmore Vae Primary School wish to appoint an energetic and highly motivated teacher to join our successful team. To commence as soon as possible, the school wish to recruit an experienced Observation and Assessment Class, a specialist provision for 9 pupils with complex learning needs.

Ogmore Vale Primary School is an English-medium school providing education for children between 3 years and 11 years. The Headteacher and Governing Body are committed to establishing a nurturing and respectful learning community with a strong, inclusive ethos, where a culture of positivity, enthusiasm and aspiration prevails for all and where excellence is standard.

The successful candidate will:

Be a proven excellent teacher.

Be responsible for specialist teaching of pupils with complex learning needs.

Have a secure understanding of the ALN reform.

Have experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs

Be flexible and versatile.

Enjoy working closely with colleagues.

Be highly motivated and well organised.

Have high expectations of all children in every aspect of school life

Have experience of inclusion, including managing appropriate paperwork and working with outside agencies.

Contribute to the wider school community

Shortlisted candidates will be contracted to arrange a date and time to undertake a lesson observation.

The ability to conduct a basic conversation through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
