Summary

We believe in better. And we make it happen.

Better content. Better products. And better careers.

Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, SkyQ to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate.

We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.

And we do it all right here at Sky.

The Business Transformation team lead Sky's most significant and complex transformations - from reimagining how we serve customers to redesigning how the organisation operates. We partner with senior leaders across all markets to turn bold strategic intent into real-world impact, shaping and delivering a range of programmes. They span from future-state operating models to making our most aspirational product, proposition and content investments into a reality for our customers. This is a unique opportunity to drive organisational change at scale, influence across boundaries, and lead the programmes that will define Sky's next chapter.

What you'll do:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex, and often ambiguous transformation programmes, including operating model change or key strategic initiatives. This often involves working across different territories and /or with Comcast NBCU colleagues
  • Drive and take accountability for programmes through all relevant stages of the lifecycle, from initiation through to closure and review, regularly reporting to Executive sponsors, leading teams from across the business via multiple workstreams (e.g. technology, operations, digital, marketing, commercial, finance etc)
  • Provide challenge and offer alternative solutions where applicable
  • Drive clarity where ambiguity exists - using structure, storytelling, and influence to align diverse stakeholder groups behind a common path forward.
  • Shape the initiation of activity, defining the scope/approach. ensuring a clear rationale, defining the governance and reporting structure
  • Deliver clear, accurate and independent updates to senior executives across the business (e.g. MD level and above). Ensuring all stakeholders are clear on status and issues /risks are known, appraised and being mitigated
  • Drive delivery to realise the business case
  • Own and evolve the E2E plan, ensuring alignment across strategic intent, delivery outcomes, and future-state operating model.
  • Depending on the programme need, facilitate change management, operating model design, or process improvement

What you'll bring:

  • Experience of large & complex blue-chip organisations or via a high calibre management consultancy leading large scale, cross functional change programmes
  • Considerable experience dealing with, and managing large and complex stakeholder groups including senior executives & leaders, managing competing priorities alongside ambitious expectations and experience chairing executive-level meetings
  • Significant experience leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation programmes, ideally with direct involvement in operating model design and implementation.
  • Vision, drive, diplomacy and the ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to influence others in the absence of any direct authority
  • Strong communication (and listening) skills at all levels - able to translate messages in a straightforward and simple manner
  • Ability to build effective and trusted relationships and collaborate with a range of individuals at all levels in the organisation (including Executive level)

If you believe in better, we'll back you all the way.
