We are looking for passionate and dedicated SEND tutors to join our growing team.
Job Description:
As an Online SEND Tutor, you will deliver 1-to-1 and small group lessons (up to 5 students) via Microsoft Teams or other online platforms. You’ll plan and create your own lessons, adapt teaching methods to suit each student’s individual learning style, and provide constructive feedback to help them progress.
This is a freelance, flexible role, ideal for tutors who want to work around their own schedule while making a real difference to students’ lives.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver online tuition sessions in English, Maths, or Science to students with SEND needs.
- Create tailored lesson plans and resources to meet individual education plans (IEPs) and learning goals.
- Provide engaging, interactive sessions that build confidence and academic skills.
- Offer optional homework or follow-up resources to support learning.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, or carers about student progress.
- Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), SEND qualification, or significant experience working with SEND students.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, or Science (you only need to teach one subject area).
- Experience supporting students with a range of special educational needs (e.g., ADHD, autism, dyslexia).
- DBS check (Enhanced preferred, Standard accepted if recent).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
- Comfortable using online platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
- Knowledge of exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR, or WJEC is beneficial but not essential.
Pay & Hours:
- From £20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Fully flexible working hours — you set your own schedule.
- Freelance position (you are responsible for your own taxes and National Insurance).
