Weighing Technician (Mechatronics / Electrical Background) (214jc) – Fife Based - £30k to start while under training
This is a Field-based role covering the whole of the UK, but ideally you will be based in Auchtermuchty for training and on-going development.

What You’ll Do
• Install, service, and repair industrial weighing systems and related control equipment, this could range from simple industrial weighing machines to vehicle weighing equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Diagnose and fix issues with electrical, electronic, and mechatronic components.
• Integrate weighing equipment with wider automation and process control systems.
• Carry out planned maintenance, upgrades, and system improvements.
• Support customers on-site and remotely, acting as the trusted technical expert.
• Travel across the UK (sometimes staying away from home for short periods).
What they are looking for
• Background in mechatronics, electrical, or electronic engineering/technology — forces trade qualifications (REME, RAF, Royal Navy, etc.) are highly valued.
• Practical experience in installing, maintaining, or repairing complex technical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• A “can-do” mindset with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• A **full UK driving licence**.
Nice to Have (but not essential)
• Knowledge of load cells, weighing systems, or calibration.
• Familiarity with sensors, PLCs, or control/automation systems.
• Previous field technician or industrial engineering experience.
